I have traveled many times with Hamden Travel. I have been to countries I thought I would never visit. Most memorable one was to Cuba. The warmth of the people, despite their lack of things many of us take for granted. The trips have been very well planned, tours and meals are very cultural and educational in nature. I have been to Sicily, Northern Italy, the beautiful Amalfi Coast, Ireland and England; all with Hamden Travel. From the ride to the airport and back it is top notch and without a glitch. All you need to do is pay and get on the bus to the airport. Can’t wait to travel again.

A few years before my retirement I interviewed several travel agents. My retirement goal was to travel as much as possible. I’m a planner and needed to find someone who would work together with me; who would understand what travel meant to me; who would be proactive ; who would work within my travel budget; who would help me see the world with my husband and, at times, with our friends. Donna at Hamden Travel has done that and more! Working with Donna has been a life changer. Every trip she has planned has been the right destination with the perfect itinerary for us. Whether it’s the pubs in Ireland, the streets of Paris, the food in Italy, the Alps in Switzerland and Austria or the beaches in Mexico, Donna knows how to get it right for us. And, it just keeps getting better. We have cruised around South America, the Greek Isles, Alaska, the Panama Canal and the Baltic including St. Petersburg. The castles along the Rhine River Cruise and the American Cemetery on our Seine River Cruise were so memorable. Working with Donna to plan trips with my friends has evolved into Group Trips. With her knowledge and planning skills and my enthusiastic travel friends, Donna has planned group trips that have had us climbing the Great Wall of China, tasting the wines of Portugal, walking the streets of Edinburgh and Glasgow, viewing Victoria Falls and experiencing safaris in South Africa. Next, our group is heading to Australia and New Zealand in February, 2022! Donna is more than my travel agent now. She is my friend.
